Butterfly Clothespins

Let me start by saying this:  There are a million of these posts floating around in Blogland and Pinterestville so I am not claiming this as my own.  Since there are a million of these floating around, I am not linking to anyone else’s post but I will post to Spoonful’s site because I think that’s where it may have originated.

Now that we have that out of the way…Suga Booga was excited to make these.  This has actually been on my radar for a few weeks now but I couldn’t find the wooden clothespins!  I searched everywhere…Dollar Tree, Walmart, Dollar General, etc.  Finally found them yesterday at Target!  50 of them for $1.89 so stay tuned for more clothespin crafts!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Clothespins

Googly eyes

Pipe Cleaners

Glue gun

Glue sticks

Paint & brushes

For the butterfly wings:

Snack bags

Snacks!

Suga Booga painted the pins then we clipped them on the paper plate to dry.  Once they were dry, I glued the googly eyes and pipe cleaners onto them and they were done. These will definitely be getting some use in Suga Booga’s lunchbox.  She absolutely had to have a snack sack with one last night.

Oh and the picture with the finished pins and her hand?  That’s her ruby red ring made from a pipe cleaner and the glue gun.  She was super excited and is still wearing it.
